Mo Lashbrook

Cyanotype Abstract Art

Blending art and science, Mo's work reimagines the historic cyanotype process to explore the beauty of plants. She begins by gathering botanicals (often native to Arkansas or grown her garden) and arranging them on chemically treated paper. Exposed to sunlight, these plants leave behind ghostly, abstract impressions as iron compounds react and transform into rich Prussian blue. She manipulates the image with household chemicals and layered materials, embracing unpredictability. The result is an abstracted vision of nature. Each is unique, atmospheric, and impossible to replicate. Mo's work is available for purchase in the Museum Store.

Joe Barnett

Meet Arkansas artist and sculptor Joe Barnett in the Museum Store on

Wednesday, June 25th, from 4 pm - 7 pm.

Discover how his passion for people and nature come together in his practice to create meaningful works that capture beauty and complexity. A collection of his bronze sculptures will be available for sale, allowing guests a special opportunity to learn more about each work directly from the artist before buying.

Since a very young age, Joe remembers never wanting to follow rules or formulas when it came to art. His primary inspiration has always been people. He believes that each person is unique, and his art should highlight that. He loves the fact that art can break down barriers and connect to people on a deeper level, and his ultimate goal has always been for his art to touch people.
