Simple Pleasures
After working in commercial photography for 40 years, William Emmett Davis began working as a fine art photographer in 1983. Davis had aesthetic connections with photographers on the West Coast and worked almost exclusively in Arkansas. He was the personal photographer for Winthrop Rockefeller for more than twenty years.
Simple Pleasures includes a selection of twenty-eight reproduced images. The photographer was honored with a one-person, sixty-seven-image exhibition at the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts (previously known as the Arkansas Arts Center) from October 6 through November 26, 2000.
