Emma Estelle is an artist based in her hometown of Little Rock. Her methods celebrate the raw, wild colors found in Arkansas. Each piece is coated with a handmade glaze made with Arkansas pigments. She forages for these wild piments around the natural state in the form of impure rocks and minerals. The impurities remain intact throughout the refinement process, providing unique characteristics to the final pigments.
