Blending art and science, Mo's work reimagines the historic cyanotype process to explore the beauty of plants. She begins by gathering botanicals (often native to Arkansas or grown in her garden) and arranging them on chemically treated paper. Exposed to sunlight, these plants leave behind ghostly, abstract impressions as iron compounds react and transform into rich Prussian blue. She further manipulates the image with household chemicals and layered materials, embracing unpredictability. The result is an abstracted vision of nature—unique, atmospheric, and impossible to replicate. Each piece invites viewers to slow down, look closer, and rediscover wonder in the details we often overlook.
