The name for this collection was deliberately chosen in reference to the Greek goddess "Athena". Athena is considered the goddess of wisdom, the feminine archetype of strong, logical thinking, and an independent woman with many talents.
The ancient Greek reference is also represented in the repetition of thin slats, like folds on a dress.
