Lara Scobie

Edinburgh, UK ceramicist Lara Scobie, makes one of a kind vessels in Fine Porcelain Parian clay. Her distinctive work is an exploration of graphic pattern, bold color and and three-dimensional form. Each piece is hand-made and decorated using a combination of inlay and sgraffito drawing.

She has exhibited extensively and has received many awards for her work including Premier winner of The Fletcher Challenge in New Zealand and Honorable Mention at Mino Ceramics, Japan. Lara is a fellow of the Craft Potters Association of Great Britain and a professional member of Contemporary Applied Arts, London.

In 2023, three of her works were purchased for the Permanent Collection in Aberdeen Art Gallery in Scotland.
