Study For Aviation Notecard
American artist Roy Lichtenstein was a member of the Pop Art movement of the 1950's and 60's. Though not the exact same style as his most famous comic book pieces, Study for "Aviation" is a fascinating insight into the planning stages of a Lichtenstein piece. Featuring strong diagonals and an emphasis on geometric patterns, one can see the influence previous art styles, particularly cubism, had on Lichtenstein's process. This notecard is perfect for sending well wishes to a friend or to add to your own art collection!
