Vanilla Bean Simple Syrup

This vanilla bean syrup is a labor of love. Barrels of raw vanilla beans are sourced from Madagascar and every piece of every bean is used. The beans are split, the insides scraped, and the outsides chopped. Then a double filter process is used to create an added richness. There is some kind of magic in the agitation of the skin, making all of the process worth it. Do not worry if you see black specks in the bottle, those are just little pieces of vanilla bean that are kept in for flavor! Some batches will have more than others and they’re delicious. Ingredients: cane sugar, water, vanilla beans, vanilla extract, lactic acid.
